Shipments using pre-configured Recorders

When you select Use pre-configured Loggers some of the methods you use are different from shipments using recording and alarm profiles.

1. You can only use recorders for this shipment that were configured by your sales partner, ex-factory or via other LogTag^® software, for example LogTag^® Analyzer.

2. Instead of specifying a recording profile and an alarm profile, a new section appears on the page as soon as you select Use pre-configured Loggers. Here, you enter the serial numbers of the recorders via the keyboard or a barcode scanner.

   • Click Add new record to display a text entry field for the serial number.

     

   • Enter the serial number with the keyboard or a barcode scanner.
   • Click Update to save the serial number or Cancel to abort the process.

   When you have added all recorders you can continue to enter the remaining shipment parameters.

3. The shipment is not started via the Start Shipment menu entry. Instead, the shipment will be listed as In Transit as soon as you have entered at least one serial number. As a consequence, you could edit the shipment and add serial numbers, even if the shipment has long left its origin. We strongly recommend against this.
4. You can only use one recorder model for each shipment, and all recorders used in the shipment must have the same configuration settings. There is no verification of model or configuration during data entry so the responsibility of only adding recorders that are the same lies with you. The first recorder that is downloaded at the destination determines what model and configuration CCA expects for this shipment. Any subsequently downloaded recorder that is of a different model/configuration will be rejected and cannot be downloaded with CCA.
