Toolbar commands

The icons on the toolbar give you access to some of the most frequently used commands.

Toolbar Icon for accessing the Wizard

Wizard

Invokes the LogTag® Wizard. For more details please refer to Using the LogTag® Access Wizard.

File open toolbar image

Open

Displays the file open window. This allows you to open previously saved LogTag® data files.

File save toolbar image

Save

Save a copy of the LogTag® data to a file on your disk drive.

Print toolbar image

Print

Opens the WIndows Print dialogue so you can print the LogTag® data to a printer. Please see Printing the results for further details.

File properties toolbar icon

File properties

Displays file properties about the currently selected file.

Add digital signature toolbar icon

File digital signatures

Displays information about any digital signatures included in the currently selected file. Here you can also add new digital signatures to files or print copies of the digital signatures.

Send Mail Icon

Send mail

Creates a new draft email and attaches a copy of the currently selected fileso it can be sent to a recipient of your choice. Please see Sending a file by email directly from LogTag® Analyzer

SMTP and FTP active

Upload

Uploads the file in the currently active window to an FTP server, or sends it by email. Please see Automatic emailing and uploading to FTP sites

Copy toolbar image

Copy

Places a copy of the currently displayed information to the Windows™ clipboard, so you can paste it into another Windows™ application.

Real Time

Real Time

When this icon is active, the time axis represents the elapsed time since the recording began. This is useful when you want to inspected how long into a trip a certain event occurred.the data were recorded.

Clicking the icon switches to date and time display.

Elapsed Time

Elapsed Time

When this icon is active, the time axis represents the date and time. This is useful when you want to inspected at what date and time a certain event occurred.

Zoom out

Zooms out one level of the chart in the currently active window. If you are displaying a chart and this function is not available, then all available data are already being displayed and you cannot zoom out any further.

Zoom to inspection marks

This zooms the chart so readings are shown between the oldest reading recorded and the first inspection mark that exists in the data. If this function is not available then there are no inspection marks in the data currently being displayed.

The next two commands will not be available until this command is activated.

Show data between previous pair of inspection marks toolbar image

Previous inspection mark group

This zooms the chart so readings are shown which were recorded between the first inspection mark currently being displayed and the previous inspection mark.

This function is disabled when either the oldest reading is already being displayed, or the "Zoom to inspection marks" function has not been activated.

Show data between next pair of inspection marks toolbar image

Next inspection mark group

This zooms the chart so readings are shown which were recorded between the last inspection mark currently being displayed and the next inspection mark.

This function is disabled when either the newest reading is already being displayed, or the "Zoom to inspection marks" function has not been activated.

MultiChart toolbar image

Average

Combines all open file windows into a single Multi Chart window and activates the average tab, or, if already in multichart, activates or disables the average tabs. It is recommended to deactivate this feature when processing large data sets, as Minimum, Maximum and Average Charts can require considerable computer resources when activated.

Multi Chart

Switches into Multi Chart mode, which displays all currently open charts together in one window using the same time axis.

Single Chart Toolbar Icon

Single Chart

Opens all charts displayed in a multi chart in their own individual tabs (the original multi chart remains open).

Toolbar Icon Options

Options

This will open a window allowing you to customize the software. You can find a detailed overview over all settings in the chapter Customising the Software.

Log on/Log off

These icons are only displayed if LogTag® Analyzer requires a connection to LogTag® User Server software in order to operate and are used to log on or off. Please see Connecting to LogTag® User Server and User Server.

 

If you are working with a small computer monitor, not all icons may be visible. In that case click the down arrow next to the group where the icons are missing, and you will get an expanded view of the toolbar.
